Meet Fudge our School therapy dog!
Fudge is an Australian type Labradoodle who has been carefully selected by Sarah at Didlington Doodles. Didlington Doodles have experience in breeding puppies that are placed in schools and for use as assistance dogs. Fudge is receiving training carefully planned by Natalie Light from ‘Nats Dogs’. Natalie is a member for the association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors and is also a registered clinical animal behaviourist.
Fudge comes to school on a daily basis and brings joy to all the staff and pupils. Fudge also has an important role to play in the school day from his scheduled daily walks, meeting the children to listening to children read and being shown special pieces of work. Fudge has also been proven to have a calming effect on the children and was also the topic of conversation for the school council this year.
Thanks from Fudge
Today we welcomed Medhurst to the school and thanked them for their kind donation towards our therapy dog Fudge. Pupils, from our school council, were fantastic helpers, and visited a pet store to choose the dog toys that they had chosen to buy, at their meeting!
