Hygiene and Resource Support

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint to an additional Hygiene & Class Resources Support position, predominantly based at our StartPoint Sholing provision. We are looking for someone who is both enthusiastic and motivated, as well as hardworking, reliable, and energetic, and can work together as part of a team to ensure our school remains a clean and safe place for our children to learn.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide assistance to staff to support the personal hygiene needs of pupils across the setting

• Provide assistance to pupils getting ready for swimming and PE sessions and to help them get changed afterwards

• Develop positive relationships with pupils encouraging them to play/interact with each other safely and sociably

• Assist the class teaching team in set up, preparation of resources and storing/tidying away

• As directed by the class teacher, undertake basic administrative duties

• Working alongside the offsite team, maintaining a clean working environment throughout the setting

• Where appropriate, maintain the cleaning and hygiene stock levels and resources

• To encourage pupils to eat in a socially acceptable manner and to behave sensibly and quietly in the dining area

• To assist with ancillary duties such as clearing up spillages and ensuring that tables are clean and clear

• To provide welfare support to the children in the school. This may include undertaking minor first aid duties (if trained) and assisting children with personal hygiene

• Carry out other duties, within the responsibility level of this post, as directed by the Class Teacher

Salary from £16382 to £17223 per year

Interview process:

If successfully shortlisted, you will complete a short task and observation in the dining hall prior to a 2-panel, face to face interview. If you have not heard from us by Thursday 6th November 2025 then you have been unsuccessful this time.
